1. Lay your Prefold Diaper Flat
**If you plan to use a diaper doubler, for added absorbency, place on top of prefold. |
2. Fold the bottom edge about 1/4 inch (this can varry depending on baby's rise). How much you fold depends on how long you need it. |
3. Fold the left side in about 1/3 of the
way, across the top of middle panel of the prefold.
|
|
4. Fold the right side in about the same amount as you did with the left side and tuck it inside the pocket that you created from the previous step. |
5. Gently place the baby on top of the diaper and pull the folded part up between his/her legs. You can easily adjust the width of the folded part to fit around the baby better if you need to. |
6. The wings will wrap around to the front of the diaper. The wings can easily be secured with snappis or diaper pins!

Next, you will need to secure your fold with a snappi or pins.
I will demonstrate with a snappi fastener! To secure snappi:
Step 1: Hook Left, S-t-r-e-t-c-h ACROSS
|

Step 2: Hook Right, S-t-e-t-c-h Down
|
Step 3: Hook Center
|
|
In other words,
the Snappi®
fastener should
go from a
‘T’ shape to a ‘Y’ shape.

Don’t forget to put on a diaper cover and make sure all of the diaper is tucked inside nicely so that you don’t get any leaks.
