Growing Green Bums Story
Cloth diapering is a passion for me! My cloth diapering adventure has led to the birth of Growing Green Bums. I wanted some way to share my passion with other families and by creating Growing Green Bums this was the perfect opportunity! I now get the opportunity to meet wonderful families online and in person to help them find the perfect cloth diapering system. I know how difficult it can be to find the right cloth diapering system, I am here to help you with the different types of systems, how to use, how to care for your diapers and much more!
My Cloth Diapering Adventure
I knew I wanted to cloth diaper Hudson from the moment he was born, but I was so overwhelmed with the choices and had no one to turn to in our area. Luckily, I met a very nice military spouse when Hudson was 4 months. She was very kind enough to go over the basics, the how to’s and everything I needed to get started. It was that day I made the switch and I have never gone back to disposables! I have since tested numerous cloth diaper brands, styles and systems. Growing Green Bums is bringing a number of different systems to you and adding more every day! If you are looking for natural fabrics to lay next to your baby’s skin or looking for a system that is convenient, we are here to help you. My goal is to provide you with knowledgeable information and one-on-one support to help you and your family.
About the Mama:
My name is Marissa Evans and I currently reside in Navarre, FL. I am a military spouse and a stay at home mama of one very active toddler! My husband is in the Air Force and we have been married for 6 years! We have been stationed in FL for 3 years and we have lived in Germany and England. I have traveled all around Europe and we miss it so much. Being stationed overseas is where we started to learn about living a more sustainable lifestyle. When we returned to the states we wanted to adopt some of their ways of living: Recycling, Gardening, Cloth Diapering and Baby Wearing.
I am also a big advocate for breastfeeding. I have gone through the ups and downs with breastfeeding and I believe my determination paid off! We are still happily breastfeeding and loving it! A common request in my house "milk, mama, milk, please". I believe in natural parenting, natural living, and being green. During the day you can catch me playing in the park with my son, going to the zoo, spending time on the beach and being together as one. I love scrapbooking, playing volleyball, and eating all the stuff in our garden.
