About Schoolhouse Naturals:
With all of the current chemical concerns and growing environmental concerns, we introduce our Schoolhouse Naturals line. At their root, these are simply wood. We use primarily hard maple and no added chemicals other than a little wood glue where needed. Even the detailing is chemical free, it is laser engraved into the wood. A few items, as noted, are available with an optional finish, either a whey or beeswax/tung oil finish.

Care and Content:
Maple Landmark wooden toys are of the highest quality one could ask for in a product. They are a small, family run manufacturer of wooden toys, games, and gifts. Maple Landmark is based in Vermont, USA. All products produced by Maple Landmark are from the USA! The wood, primarily rock maple, used to create these beautiful toys is from the forests around Vermont. The toys are produced in-house from raw timber, and then transformed into magical toys for all ages to enjoy. Maple Landmark follows American standards of product safety, employee safety, and environmental protection.
Safety and Age Recommendations: All of our products with small parts or moving wheels should be considered for ages three and up. Since Maple Landmark specializes in products teaching children letters and other shapes from their environment, preschool is the appropriate age range for the trains and similar products. As kids begin school, they will take interest in our games such as tic-tac-toe and dominoes. They can then progress into mancala, solitaire games, and finally complex card games like cribbage.
